What was once but a simple Christmas Tree shop, from this small acorn grew what came to be Stockeld Park’s most famous adventure season. In 2006, Peter and Susie Grant opened a shop in the park selling Christmas trees to the local community, which was the beginning of the business. Stockeld Park is a Grade-I listed country house and estate situated between the towns of Wetherby and Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, which is now the home of the Grant family. The estate spans some 2,000 acres and broadly covers the area between Wetherby and the villages of Spofforth and Sicklinghall .

It’s the largest evergreen maze in Yorkshire and the 2000 yew trees used to make it were grown right here on the estate at Stockeld Park !   At the heart of the maze is a unique sculpture, a revolving stainless-steel globe, designed by a Yorkshire schoolgirl who entered our children’s sculpture competition.

Step out of the light and into Stockeld Dark this Halloween!
